SERVICE OF CONSECRATION:
Saturday 09.17.22 @ 11:00AM (CDT)
COMMUNITY CHURCH
N6717 Streblow Dr,
Fond du Lac, WI 54937
Were you aware that never, in the history of Fond du Lac, has there been female bishop (that we can find) and specifically not an African-American Woman Bishop? Yet, with your support, when consecrated as Bishop, Pastor Beverly Haywood will become the first and only African-American Female Bishop in Fond du Lac, WI.
A consecration is a sacred ceremony where God sets aside a person, before his people, to complete his work at a particular level of ministry. In this case, Pastor Beverly A. DeShazer-Haywood elevated to the Episcopacy, as a Bishop by the UFCCM (United Fellowship of Christian Churches and Ministries-World-Wide) right here in the city of Fond du Lac, WI.
Given the significance of all of this, Bread of Life Cathedral of Hope would like to honor God by hosting this beautiful celebration here in Fond du Lac and to do so, we ask for your support.
Beverly Haywood has been a pastor for over 20 years of ministry in the City of Fond du Lac. She has been profiled in several FDL Reporter articles inclusive of one titled “A Measure of Success” where her work as a pastor here in FDL was of focus and praised. At the humble behest of her husband (Bishop H.D. Haywood, Sr.) Pastor Bev (as she is lovingly called) will be taking on her maiden name "DeShazer" as her official Episcopal Title and Name Designation in honor of/and as a legacy to her father the Late Rev. Dr. J.R. DeShazer, and to the memory of her Uncle; Pastor James DeShazer and her Brother; Elder Ray DeShazer.
You can help make this possible by becoming a supporter of the Bishop-Elect Beverly A. DeShazer's (Haywood) Consecration Fundraiser. Your support will go towards the expenses accrued to make such an event possible. So we welcome your pledge towards this joyous occasion as we prepare faithfully.

The biblical word "Episcopal" in general terms mean; overseer, superintendent and bishop; respectively. The "Office Of Bishop" 1 Timothy 3:1-13 sets the qualification of a Bishop. *Special note: "man, and one wife" mentioned in the passage; in the context of the scripture, is a product of the tradition and culture of the time marginalizing women, woman and slaves were viewed as property, none of which was the Will of God.
Please take time to view the six-minute video (clips) from our 2011 UFCCM Episcopal Consecration of four (4) Bishop-elects. The Episcopal Consecration and Investiture it is a sacred imagery of celebration ordained by God to overseer churches, pastors and specific regions of the world. The Sacred Service of Consecration transforms the Servant of God into a Bishop before the eyes of People of God.
